Duo Ignea

Duo Ignea is a chamber music duo of flutist Rebecca Blau (Germany/Switzerland) and pianist Zane Rubesa (Latvia/France). Both musicians met in 2017 during their Erasmus exchange programs at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. After discovering their common passion for chamber music while working together in various concerts and master classes, they decided to found the Duo Ignea, which quickly developed into an internationally active ensemble. Since then they have performed successful concert tours in Belgium, Germany, France and Latvia. In 2022 the duo Ignea was a guest at the Klara Festival in Brussels and produced a musical audio book with "Retelling Undine". 2023 they worked together with Tristan Murail as part of the Divertimento Ensemble Academy in Milan.
